Boosting thyroid?

I read some articles online that if you have a slow thyroid it can prevent you from losing fat effectively so even if you cut down your calories and exercise a lot it won't matter
this had me concerned because I'm overweight and trying to lose weight. Is there a supplement I can take to boost my thyroid

For thyroid i use T3PCT but take with food
 
yea iodine is good thyroid control and so is t3pct
