do you pinch the muscle to inject?

Newbie
I had a question on injection techniques you guys are using for best results. I am currently pinning my lateralis area and it is easy. I am grabbing a chunk of muscle and then put the needle in, then I let go and do the injection. I want to try the same with my glues and pecs next. Will that strategy work on any muscle?
 
Dont inject your chest, dangerous but glutes you can do easy, shoulders too. Just push in the pin and go.
