swallowing capsules

is it okay to just cut these in half so i can get them down? I was swallowing a load of vitamin capsules and one went in my throat sideways and i ran outside and dry heaved until it came back out onto the grass. i then picked it up and tried swallowing it again and it would not go down.

You should drink before and after and it wont get stuck, eat something after to push them down
