Training when having a night job

I just took a job at a club as a DJ and bartender so my nights usually start at like 9pm when we first open and set everything up till everyone goes home and we clean up around 3 or 4am. this leaves me the option of working out before my shift or after I get off. My gym opens at 5am so would you workout at that time? or would you get in a workout before work?

I would go workout before work, late training after work you'll be tired.
 
honestly, try both strategies and see which ones jives with you more. i would focus more on getting quality sleep and put your workouts around that. sleeping then working out is good cause you will be well rested for the gym, but working out then sleeping after would be good for recovery. so it is all about what works for you
 
thats entirely up to you man... what i would do has no bearing on what you do because thats all about how you feel at those times, how hard you work etc... you do you bro
 
Personally I prefer to train at the start of my day. It just sets things up for the day and encourages me to stay on track. This is also when I have the most energy. You really have to try both and see what works best for you.

My gym has reduced hours so I had no choice but to switch my entire routine, I dont mind it though I've adapted quickly and it's nice to workout work and than go home and rest for the night.
 
If your bar tending and or DJ’ing won’t you be a little fatigued after a good workout? Bartending in it of itself is a workout. Your better off training after work with a light pre-workout.
