4pm slump diet

I have been reading about the dreaded 4 p.m. slump
And can say that I am not alone when it comes to feeling tired around this time
what is a good 4 p.m. meal or snack I can eat to get my energy levels back up
I'm reading that there is a slump diet that people consume that involves nuts, avocado, eggs, and yogurt
 
the first thing i would want to know is your diet. not just what you are eating but when you are eating

when you have a large lunch the body will have to expend a lot of energy to process it. and ifs a poor nutrition lunch then you can expect to really lose your energy

next is sleep quality. most people don't sleep well.

if you have a 4pm slump you have blood sugar issues
you should switch your diet to more low carbs
 
4pm drink a protein shake with eggs
 
Need healthy carbs for energy. Carbs are energy natural form for the body. Literally. Dont eat low carbs unless trying to loose weight. Lifters shoukdnt be trying to loose weight unless ur fat
 
What is your typical day and diet like? Meal times? I typically take in around 2000 calories a day. More if bulking, less if cutting. I usually get up at 2:30am and hit the gym. If I’m bulking I eat pre/post work out and cutting I do fasted cardio. So regardless first meal is down by 5:00am. I eat again at 8, 11, 2 and 5pm. I have never had a 4 pm slump! Sometimes I will tighten the times and add in a 6th meal. You have to plan and prepare for this, you can not approach it willnilly!
