Blackstrap molasses?

I need some advice on using blackstrap molasses
a friend of mine suggested it as a sweetener and I tried some at his house I added it to my coffee and my tea and it tasted really good. he knows a lot about nutrition and says that it's actually good for you. can you tell me what you think about it and should I be using it as my sweetener going forward?

its better then many other sweeteners as long as it is pure and as little processed as possible

also stevia you can say the same thing about. the problem with most stevia is it is processed. you want to use pure stevia which costs about 4x more
