up to 250 pounds on militaries

I use the smith machine to do my military presses and I am now up to 250 pounds. my question is how often can i do these per week without tearing up my shoulders? the way I do it is I lower the weight and my arm is even with the ground, then push it back up. is this correct or do i need to go lower?

If you have shoulder pain, don't use the smith machine. I get a lot of shoulder pains from it.

the most you should lift shoulders is twice a week but i would only do military presses once a week tops man...

smith machine for militaries is a surefire way to tear up your shoulders. it is a straightline movement up and down. there is no way for you to move the bar other than that which puts tremendous pressure on your shoulders. please stop this

From someone who has a fucked up rotator cuff, please give your shoulders a rest. They get worked on almost every upper body exercise so I don't even train them separately anymore.

I wouldnt train them twice a week. Shoulders domt need much and its a high risk of injury

twice a week for shoulders isn’t necessary, they also get hit hard when you do back and chest. once a week focus is enough.
