Yoga, yoga, yoga

I'm completely new to yoga, I bought one of those DVD's and do it at home. I am having trouble doing some of the poses, especially the one where you lay flat on the floor and lift the legs up. I am breathing hard and struggling. any tips? it is very hard on me because i think I am so not flexible and out of shape.

You have to start slow with yoga, do like 5min at a time of a week and increase that to 10-15min. Those poses require time to squeeze and stretch.

yes it will be tough the first couple weeks. but don't give up

if you are that out of shape then you are going to need to clean up your diet and start exercising daily.
