Blood in syringe when aspirating

so I've tried 3 different times this morning to inject steroids into my delts. I tried twice on one side and another time on the other. Maybe I'm just having an unlucky morning but I keep having blood in the syringe when I aspirate. I'm using a 23 gauge needle and this is getting frustrated because I keep having to throw away needles

Don't inject into the spot where you saw blood, pull the syringe out and try a different injection spot.

you dont want a 23 g in your delts, you want to use a 25... you also should switch spots continuously but when you inject into your delts, use a 25 and that should make a difference...

I only use 25 gauge try injecting in another muscle like your glute

As Dylan said, you need a smaller needle in your delts or you will definitely have pain. A 23 in your delts is too much, you need to switch to a 25 and you could even go with a 3/4 inch. 1 inch is completely fine but a 3/4 is also fine

Switch spots and no need to aspirate. They stopped teaching nurses to do that many years ago.
