overhead press options

I have a little bit of a dilemma. I have liked to do overhead presses for the past few years. They've been working well for me and I've developed strong shoulders and a strong back. My doctor said that I can't do them for a while because he doesn't like the shoulder impingement that I'm developing. Are there other options for working my middle and upper back?
 
I've never been a big fan of these types of lifts. They're not necessary and they put an unnecessary burden on things. You can end up with injuries.
