the 3-3-3 rule for dieting

Newbie
wondering what you guys and gals think about the 3-3-3 rule for dieting. Was reading up on it. It involves 3 botles of water by 3pm, 3 main components with your meals, and also 3 hours of exercise a week minimum. I am trying to lose weight, are these good golden rules?
 
It's a fallacy that if he drink a ton of water you lose weight that's just Bro Science.
 
The concept seems pretty good. But I don't understand three components with your meals. That doesn't make much sense.
 
I wouldn't do this type of diet. It seems more of a gimmick.
