Welcome to the shitshow!
I’m starting this log trying to focus on getting healthier, building a better life & educating myself more about peptides, nutrition and training and all other aspects of this lifestyle in a place where I feel many of us can probably relate in some aspect to it ill be updating this every Monday / Friday I think im not a superblogging type person but ill get there im sure.
I’ve been on and off a weightless journey like many im sure, I have started, then quit and then dieted, then quit I lost my father at 52 due to pancreatic cancer and it has given me a much needed kick in the ass to get my health in check, he was also diabetic type 2 ( so am I ) so it’s about time I do something or I can expect to keel over at 52 also..
Background & Current Progress:
• Started Feb 1st at 138kgs roughly
• 34 years old
• 6 foot 1, although with weight loss and some back stretches I can un-decompress my spine and im 6 foot 2.
• Was previously prescribed Ozempic for 2 months with major issues then tried Wegovy for about 3 weeks and again had MAJOR issues, any and all food I took in, would not pass through me and I would end up vomiting daily full undigested meals ( doctor suggested I have an allergy / issue with glp1 medications )
• Came off it and decided fuck it, ill just be fat and die happy.. well then my dad passed away due to diabetic complications alongside with pancreatic cancer.. this broke me in many ways, and caused me to really re-evaluate my life. took me a fair few months ( this happened in march of 2025 ) fast forward grieving process I ballooned to 130kgs and fluctuated between 120-130 for a few months.. then came my 34th in august decided nope.. I want to be around for my soon to be wife for as long as I can be, so I grabbed diet books, watched tons of Instagram guidance video’s, YouTube videos and a few personal trainers who were giving free advice.. worst mistake I did.. sure I lost some weight but couldn’t get it off and stay off even tho I thought I was doing the right thing.. turns out the ratios they used were all wrong and didn’t match what they were promoting ( think overnight Weetabix puddings etc )
so then decided to do some research and that led me down the rabbit hole that is Peptides.. eyes began to widen as anyone who begins this journey they all think, yep inject and ill be at my goal in no time! With no effort..
Joined the gym, started hitting the gym 6 days a week with a mate and watched the scale move.. eyes lit up was amazing, then I had my first stall.. first 8 weeks of reta, shed 10kgs dropped to 109 kgs from 122 holy shit I felt great.. then had 1 of my best mates get diagnosed with lymphoma cancer ( my female dog ) at the age of 7.. had to lay her to rest and went on a week or 2 of just eating shit and coping with the loss.. devastated was an understatement.
Reta and some persistence I managed to claw back down to 109 then went back to 115 then back to 109.. calories and nutrition were not where they needed to be despite me trying to hard cut everything, was on around 130g protein and 130g carbs and 30g fats.. with 1600 cals.. ( I burn 2900 a day so a whopping 1300 deficit ) but I wasn’t loosing weight nor gaining just holding steady so did a re count and realised I was eating way more shit then I thought still, pissed off the 30-40mls of oil I was cooking with, pissed off the extra butter and milk in mash potato etc and then suddenly scales went to shifting 400-500g per week. Woo hoo much better. So that Leeds me to now
• Current weight: 108kgs
• Coming into my 3rd month of Retatrutide at 2mg I have bumped this up to 3 to better suit my 15mg vial ( 5 weeks per )
• Tolerating it reasonably well so far. In the first couple of weeks, I had some issues with going to the toilet so I’ve increased my fibre intake and made sure I’m staying properly hydrated around 8L a day which seems to have helped massively, im also tracking callories properly and reading and absorbing as much information as I can.
staying off as much gear and peps as I possibly can and only taking enough to AID in what im trying to achieve while building the foundation should I come off the peps to not revert instantly back to old habits.
Goals:
My immediate goal is continued fat loss, with the current target of getting to 90 kg while maintaining some muscle mass for my wedding in July.
From there, I’ll reassess and continue checking bloodwork along the way
Long term I would love to be around the 85kg mark while maintaining some solid muscle definition not to become JACKED or become the next Sam sulek, just in shape enough to not be repulsed by how I look or feel in clothes / around friends.
at this stage, Peps is all I have an interest in as much as TRT is something I’ve thought about, my natural test levels sit around 450-600 between 3 tests and 3 different stages of greif / stress / life so I’m holding off for now. I’m definitely open to advice on which direction to take when the time comes should I go down that route, I have people around me on PEDS and ROIDS who all have different goals but at this stage mine don’t align with the lifestyle that you must assume when taking things such as Tren etc
Supplements:
Retatrutide: 3mg x 1 weekly
IPA: 400mcg x daily AM/PM both fasted
Multivitamin
Diabetic medications and a few others as prescribed by my doctor
I’m Planning to introduce these other ones gradually one at a time alongside Retatrutide ill be dropping IPA mainly for HGH but im also at the end of my course with it,
doing it one by one and slowly so I can properly assess how my body responds and how I feel on them.
• HGH
• MOTS-C
• Slu
Current plan for peptides:
Introduce MOTS and then HGH all while checking bloodwork if all above board then potentially try out any other Peds that seem to benefit my goals / things I wish to achieve
Open to feedback on that approach.
Nutrition:
Currently aiming for 220g of protein per day, 220 Carbs and fats under 40.
If you have amazing recipes that make this easy feel free to share, struggling with bland food so sauces are my weakness.
breakfast:
100g Weetabix bites ( caramel protein )
250mls Pauls protein milk
1 Arlo Dutch chocolate pudding ( 20g protein one )
then for EG this is lunch / dinner usually.
250g Chicken breast
150g Broccoli / cauliflower
50g green beans
120-150g Jasmin rice / mashed potato and then usually go Franks red hot sauce as a go to but struggling with it 2 meals a day..
Current calorie target: 1,800–2,100 per day
Bloodwork:
I have an amazing doctor, who is very happy with my bloods at this stage, I am a diabetic type 2 and my hb1c is that of a pre diabetic stage so amazing every other marker is coming down great! I know the numbers if curious feel free to ask
Body Scans:
I haven’t had any taken, looking at doing body fat one at the gym just haven’t had the time to get it done.
Training:
Currently training 5-6 times per week using a push/pull/legs then repeating it with a break every Saturday ( Sunday is 2nd leg day I add cardio at the end of each leg session, This is never an intense workout as usually end of leg days I’m struggling to walk.. anywhere between 1-2klms so 12-20 mins treadmill at this stage im still a bigger bloke and do not enjoy it.
I’m really hoping to get solid feedback along the way especially around peptides, training, and nutrition. I’m keen to be a sponge learn as much as I can and keep myself accountable throughout this process and hopefully I can stay on track, I have some solid advice from some amazing people already but I was suggested this forum to also keep myself accountable!
Cheers legends!
