using hcg for females?

Newbie
I'm struggling to lose weight after my baby was born. I'm really tiny like a peanut, I am 5 foot tall and 135, before my pregnancy i was close to 100. I am now down to 128 so still much heavier. My doctor wants me to take hcg and says it will help me lose weight. what is the normal dose of it and would you guys recommend it?

I wouldn't take too much hcg. Follow your doctor advice but don't go over 1000 IUs per week.
 
the hcg diet has proven to be a huge scam. it was pushed 50 years ago by some crackpot doctor and every now and then it comes back again. it is just a way to scam you. there is no proof that hcg does a thing for weight loss.

also the diet itself dropping your calories to 500 a day is silly because your calories out will crash along with it. so when you go back to 1500 calories you will now be in a 1000 calorie surplus!! cause your body is still only doing 500 calories out lol. why does this happen? SURVIVAL. if this did not happen humans would have went exctinct a long time ago. this metabolic rise and drop based on food intake has allowed humans to survive through feasts and famines throughout history. same for every animal on earth

so all that weight you lost temporarily will come back on and you will end up right back to where you started. makes absolutely no sense.
