🏋️‍♂️ Fitness Gym vs Home Gym – What’s Your Weapon of Choice? 💪

Hey brothers,

I wanted to open up a discussion I think many of us can relate to: commercial gym vs home gym. With more of us investing in serious home setups, I’m curious—what’s your preference, and why?

  • Are you someone who thrives on the energy and equipment variety of a fitness gym?
  • Or do you prefer the no-commute, anytime-access grind of your own personal iron temple?

For the home gym warriors:
Drop some pics of your setup!
What’s your favorite machine or piece of equipment?
Any hacks or customizations you’ve done that make

For the gym goers:
What keeps you coming back?
Is it the vibe, the gear, the people, or just a break from the house?

Personally, I’m on the fence. I love the energy of a packed gym, but having a home setup means zero excuses. Curious to see where you all stand on this.

Let’s see those setups and hear your thoughts!

commercial gyms are fine bro if you got a good one
but planet fitness packed AF here lol i hate it
i go to a bodybuilding powerlifting gym
not many guys there but legit training @xyle9999

1. I train early so I miss when commercial gyms are busy.
2. I've donated kit to my local gym to my own benefit
3. During C***d I spent thousands to boost my moderate set up. That said I have the room. The main gym space here in my home is 41 x 17 feet.

Here's a pic of my power squat machine. I modded it by adding a bar to add weight

i think a lot of that has to do with your goals and where you are at.

back in the day i would need a true meathead gym to reach my goals

today i rather just lift by myself, without any distractions or people around me. the meathead gym culture i laugh at today because people think they are going to war or something. seen a guy get into a fight with another guy over a bench he had 'claimed' by putting down his bag in front of it then someone came over and started using it. dude its just weight training lol and they treat it like its their life SMH

when it comes to yoga classes i love it when i am surrounded by hot chicks, great environment to push me. i also think things like boot camp classes or crossfit are beneficial to do in an 'environment'.. but weight training can be counter productive that way, because we want to spend more time impressing others then ourselves.

@xyle9999 this is a great topic.

i think a lot of it boils down to budget. a home gym is expensive and also if you move, that is more stuff you gotta take with you which sucks.

@xyle9999 For me, it doesn't matter whether it's training at home or training in the gym.

I'm a warrior and nothing is going to get in my way.
