adding spoonful of sugar to shakes


does anyone recommend doing this? i was under the impression that sugar was bad for us but some old school guys at my gym said they do this. they are big bulky types who are 300 pounds and such so i guess they need that sugar, but for a normal joe is this a good idea? they said that it is good cause it helps shuttle in nutrition into the muscles from the protein itself.


refined sugar is a magnet to diseases especially diabetes and obesity. it does not belong in our bodies whatsoever. there are sweet things you can consume that are healthy like raw honey and fruit.
