How many sets in this routine?

I am trying a new weight lifting routine and I would like to build some muscle and get stronger
what do you think about the following a routine?
Monday upper body
Tuesday cardio
Wednesday lower body
Thursday off
Friday upper body
Saturday lower body
Sunday cardio
how many sets would I need to do per day to make this work?
 
3 sets is always the standard and i've probably did 3 sets 80% of my lifetime of sets. i've also done 4 sets and 5 sets at most 99% of the time. on occasion 1% of the time i've done 10 sets of 1 exercise where i did 10X10. that was a crazy workout

I like to do 5-10 sets per bodypart minimum up to 20 sets on some days
 
15-20 sets per bodypart

I'd look at what you do well on. Not some random number
 
Just play around with it and you will see what works for you. I like to train for roughly 45 minutes so I would base it around time and getting enough for each part in that total time.
