using a belt again

I started using a belt again at the gym and noticed that my lifts have actually went down
I used to use one years ago and it would help stabilize my back
then I stopped using it and noticed my lifts went down a bit
but now its weird I am using it again and getting less strong. Why is this?

I like to use a belt every time I train, feels good.
 
I use belts for squats only.

Zero idea. Maybe you're using it too much. I only put a support belt on most of the time and a proper belt for my heaviest sets only
