Best weight training strategies for under 25

Newbie
I'm looking for the best weight training strategies for someone who's under 25 years old. Please give me some advice on this. I'm completely open to doing anything you tell me. I really want to get more muscle and more strength in the gym and not waste my time. I've been training for the past six months with almost nothing to show for it.
