Recently started TRT. Have been injecting subq with 31G 3/8" insulin needle. Is there a reason so many guys love their 23" IM injections? Pinching my skin is more painful than the needle stick. I don't know if I am missing something- surely everyone would be doing it this way?

welcome @DullPlant you started TRT at what dose? tell us more and what brand
subq depends on person whats your bodyfat?
 
200mg (not really TRT, but Ive been at 275 since 18 so I'm treating myself to some androgens) from PharmaQo from you guys with Domestic Supply (I would post a touchdown pic btw but i was overzealous and removed the label/sticker). I am 6'1 167 just getting back into the gym. I would say a realistic 15-17%. I suppose some people on here don't have the subcutaneous fat to even inject into

You can certainly get away with insulin needles for TRT but you need to still rotate and need to be aware of scar tissue and abscess risk.

Bros, 23 gauge pretty ballsy. I think most dudes use 25 gauge regardless.

That makes more sense. I guess I have a weird notion because the doc I work for is pretty ignorant and/or "old-school" and insists that 200-400mg test E (with a 23 gauge in the delt) once per month is optimal.

25 gauge is the standard size. I don't know of anyone who does 23 gauge for TRT. Not sure where you read that.

Yep, reading on here you are absolutely right! I'm working at a primary care office before I go off to med school and she insists on the 23 gauge. Glad to here this isn't normal.

23 gauge is pretty thick. Back in the old days we used to use it to inject thicker oils like primo.

Really nice job on this but I would stick to 29 gauge. 31 gauge is way too tiny.

Why are you pinching your skin unless you're doing sub-q?
