Good evening, legends! Just a little update - since y'all know I love transparency

An awesome member of the community did a little mystery shopping recently and tested a handful of our products (completely unbeknownst to us) - a nice little honest investigative work on their end, just the way we like it. What I like about these types of blind tests is that what is being tested is exactly what is being sold to customers. They're not manipulated in any way, not sent off by us, or tried to be gamed or designed to mislead customers in a way where products are overdosed for the purpose of looking good for tests.

Overall, I'm happy with the results. As always, I try to stay within 10% of the advertised dose. Sometimes we're on the nose, sometimes we fall short, but one thing is for sure: we are ALWAYS consistent. This is evident in all of our previous tests: our own blind testing or otherwise. What's on the shelf is what gets sent out. No games. No bullshit. You get what you pay for. I'm very proud of how consistent we are, but I'm even prouder of how transparent we've remained throughout the years by publishing results whether they're good or bad. We're not perfect, but we'll always do our best, never cut any corners, and will always strive to give you the best.

Now *drum roll*, here are the results:
It's no surprise we could've done a lot better with the EQ. I'm not one to make excuses, so I'm not going to try. EQ can be difficult to work with, and while it's not uncommon for it to test lower than most cases, anything below 90% just doesn't fly with me. We'll do better on the next one!

Now, in saying that, I've taken a proactive approach and have identified all customers who were affected by this batch and were shortchanged a total of 16.5% of their expected dose. I've gone ahead and located all their orders, the amount of EQ vials they ordered, calculated the 16.5% difference in price multiplied by the amount of vials they ordered, and have generated them a coupon for the difference. They've all been emailed already. This was an automated process.

If you haven't received an email with a coupon, you weren't affected. Sorry!

Other than that, I'm not sure what else I can say other than I will always hold full accountability for the products we sell. For the record, all these tests were done discreetly; no one was asking us to disclose them, force me to disclose them, force a discount, or otherwise. It was simply the right thing to do.

We can be many things in life, but being an honest person should always be at the top of that list.

The lad who was so kind to mystery shop will be running another round of mystery shopping again in the coming weeks (since we have some extra goodies coming, I want him to add them to the list to test). They'll be anonymously purchased; we won't know who is ordering or when he'll be ordering; we'll only know once the results come back in.

As I said, I'm pleased with the rest of the results. We're not perfect, but we're honest, reliable, and we're damn near as close to 100% as you'll get. Sometimes it'll be a couple of points higher, others a couple of points lower, but the main thing is being as close to that number as possible. We have no interest in overdosing by 200% or underdosing by 50%. We want those to be in the strong 90s or on the nose, which we consistently achieve and that is something I am proud of.

if the oil is diluted a bit to reduce pip could that effect the %?
No, dilution. It'ls a combination of a couple of things:

Variables will often come into play when dealing with raws coming out of China and South East Asia, most commonly being that raw purity can vary quite a bit between the batches of raws being produced - the only way to know raw purity for certain is to get each batch HPLC tested and account for the overdosing accordingly.

Logistically this can be difficult, especially when producing batches at scale and when testing facilities aren't easily accessible domestically. Other factors can also come into play too, for example working with larger batches require a little more finesse to ensure an even distribution of heat transfer during the brewing process which can play a role in the finished oil.

Generally a +/- 10% margin for error is a common industry standard for UGL gear. While we always strive to achieve this unfortunately it isn't always the case due to external variables but we'll always do our best to get as close as possible to 100% as possible - though generally anything less than 10% is something you definitely want to avoid.

Some compounds are also harder to work with than others - EQ is one of those compounds that can be difficult to work with at times and will commonly produce results during analysis that makes it clear that it requires a little extra care to get the most from it.

The key thing is being consistent, but even more importantly is being transparent. This is why we publish all results whether they're ideal or not and strive to make the necessary changes on subsequent batches when needed. These tests were privately conducted by a mystery shopper who supplied the results to us - we were not forced to reveal these results, but as a reputable vendor, we feel that we have a duty of care to disclose them, rectify where necessary, and implement changes to ensure these types of occurences are kept at a minimum. Those affected have been contacted, credited, and a favourable outcome for those affected by the results of the EQ has been achieved.

Transparancy and consistent is as paramount to us as our reputation - something we've worked very hard to achieve of the years and will continue to work hard to maintain. The thing about trust is that once it is gone, it is very hard to win back. Our customers trust us for this very reason as they know we will always do the right thing and always hold ourselves accountable when ever we need to.

Totally agree, @Mobster. Accountability is incredible important and something that should be promoted more in this space. No excuses, no bullshit, just resolution.

Hey All,

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we've now started shipping on Fridays again and will no longer be limiting our shipping days from Monday-Thursday.

Friday orders will now be delivered on Saturday to parcel lockers (if this service is available to you) or on the following Monday to metro areas. The regular 1-2 business days to other states will still apply and 5-7 business day shipping to WA, NT, TAS and QLD - however all orders placed by 2pm Mon-Friday will now be shipped out the same day meaning you won't have to wait until after the weekend for your order to go out if you did not make the Thursday 2pm (AEST) cut off we previously had in place :)
