1 year in and don't know what to do now

I am 1 year into bodybuilding. I have made soo much yet soo little progress and Feeling somewhat lost for a next step. I am male 35 yo. I lift 4 days a week simple push/pull/leg + 1 extra chest day.

At the start I was 34 yo and fat at 180lbs and 30 to 40% BF. I tried a body recomp with 250m test / week 12 week cycles, supported with low dose hCG and hMG and Reta with PCT after. Diet was 500-300cal below maintain and protein heavy. The result after 8 months was a gain of about 25-30lbs of mass, dropping to 160lbs and 15-18% BF. For here, I plateaued. and labs showed my T4 and T4 levels where crashed.

Not knowing what to do, I tried to bulk for the fist time. Same test cycles but without Reta for 2 months. Diet was 200-400cal above maintain and protein heavy. The results was less impressive. I creeped up to 20-25% BF to 185lbs. Dry mass gain of like 8lbs. Kind disappointed and felt like I was just getting fat. Labs showed a E2 got high.

so, I cut back down to where I am today 165lbs and 14-15% BF. that means the bulk I did was a net of 5-6lbs after cutting.
Today I don't feel lean enough, and I don't feel like I have built much muscle in the last 4 months.

What should I do from here?

You’re not lost, you’re just running cycles without a consistent log, so you can’t see what actually drove the 25 to 30 lbs change versus what just made you fat and watery.
Crashing thyroid markers and high e2 tells me recovery and diet structure are the limiter, not more compounds brother

Start a proper log now w/ calories and macros, training numbers, sleep, steps, and full labs,anabolex family can tell you if you should cut a bit more or run a controlled lean bulk and how to stop spinning your wheels.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you.
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

Are you a male or a female? I don't understand how you are 180 lb and 40% body fat as a male. You must be extremely short in that case.

get some pics up in a log. this way we can give you an accurate #. you are all over the place with your ranges
 
yea fair, 40% is distorted, It was closer to 30% and I did not know how to measure well then, Even now calipers are going to be off for true BF % and I am male 5'11 (unless it is on a dating app, where I am clearly 6 feet)

You should check out the other logs on here. See what guys are doing. Get some more ideas from people and then you should start your own log.

bros, first thing we got to do is get accurate numbers. Second thing we got to do is get you started on the log. You got to post up some pictures to help us out and give us more info about your history.
