Changing my workouts for strength

Ceazquy

I’m looking to adjust my workouts and do more strength routines instead of General muscle gains
one of the tips that my trainer gave me was he wanted me to switch to 12 repetitions per set
this seems kind of high in my opinion do you agree with him?
Previously I was doing 15 reps

if you want to get stronger start doing 2-6 reps range and max

you can do more reps at a lower weight to build consistency
but i would aim for more 4-5 rep range on heavier lifts

You will want to aim more toward the 6 rep range

too risky to do one or two rep range Max outs because I've seen a lot of guys tear muscles that way

15 reps is too high but you can still get stronger even at that range

Progressive overload has been shown to be more effective when you are doing the 6 to 8 rep range
