strengthening my bench press

Newbie
I’m looking for some sound advice when it comes to increasing my bench pressing. One of the things I don’t like is that my shoulders start hurting me when I try and push things more.
You think I should change up my strategy and go more lower weights, or do you think I should keep pushing and hope that I start improving? I’ve been stuck at two plates for a long time.
 
Too many people over train and that actually prevents you from getting results.
 
My advice is to build consistency. Once you build consistency, then you can start increasing the weights.
 
I love to see your strength on the benching. Maybe you should want some videos online.
 
If your shoulders are hurting, then you're definitely got issues because if you have bad shoulders, you won't be able to get stronger.
