certain lifts bad for tight stomach?

I have heard from a few people that doing some ab exercises or training obliques will not be good for you because it will cause your belly area to grow. this also can be seen in certain bodybuilders who have bubble guts or palumboism. is this all because they train their stomachs too much or something else?
 
when you throw food at your stomach from sunrise to sunset and the amount of food + all those steroids and inflammatory PED's then that is going to cause tons of inflammation giving you that gut. i'm at my leanest with no bloat when i am fasting where i only drink water so anyone can see for themselves by doing a fast for a few days you will lose all bloat
 
Yes it is true that oblique work can thicken the waist. When you build muscle they get bigger. Those muscles are no different. Yes bodybuilders also contribute to it with diet, insulin, and gh use but you can absolutely thicken it from certain exercises as well
 
The issue you are referring to are fat guys doing ab work. That will just make your stomach look bigger. You really want to be lean first. The pro's with the bubble gut is completely different. They are already lean but the combo of food quantity and drugs gives them this look. Bodybuilding is the most unhealthy sport on the planet.
