cramps while on period training hard

I usually get cramps around my period that last a few days to a week and really mess with my workouts and i know i am not the only one who gets these. what do you recommend for helping during the week where i can still get in a quality workout without being in crazy pain. it is hard enough to do a hard workout as it is! Maybe something like a painkiller OTC?


separate your workouts from your period

figure out what works for your period, once you do. then you can workout or take a couple days off. some women have abnormally difficult periods and i refuse to believe that the only solution is throwing a bunch of drugs at the problem.
