just like any living being you cannot gain forever, the body has mechanisms to offset that. your body is going to counter what you are doing by increasing metabolism and rapidly storing mass as fat to be used at a later time.

i'm also confused why a 170 pound woman at your height would want to bulk?

You're just as confused as I am dear. I got asked the question and responded with a series of questions of my own. "What's your bfp?" "Are you already on gear?" and so on. I just had to share this question, as I started doubting myself.

I wouldn't really put a time frame on it but would just go based on adding lean muscle and not fat. If he/she started to gain fat, I would dial down the food and slow things down.
