Approved Log My 2024 summer cycle Log

try grilling your food one day
if you make burgers for all and keep your healthy with no bread it won't be more expensive

bro i got 15 kids
you shoudl see our cookouts lol
That's crazy, my wife has joked about having another kid, I already bought a 2400sqft 4 bedroom I don't think I could afford to buy a 5 bedroom in this economy and I don't want to start over with a newborn at 41yrs old as it is I'll be in my 50's when my youngest graduates.

For the past 4 weeks I've been doing an hour of cardio every day, it's not high intensity because I only have a treadmill and if I try to go faster than about 4mph the front of my shins feel like someone is holding a hot iron to them thats why i do it with a weighted vest so I can get alittle more out of it without tryingto go faster, I will be getting either an elliptical or stationary bike I'm leaning towards the bike because it takes up a little less space than an elliptical and it would be easier on the shin splints.

I haven't started the var yet I was planning on waiting another week so I'll be on week seven of my cycle and then running it until week 15. And then depending on what the lab work looks like I may go an additional 5 weeks with test only but I will likely just drop back down to TRT and cruise.

The kid is good he is prone to ear infections he's had 5 in the last year and has an appointment with an ENT next month, his regular Dr. thinks he has enlarged adenoids and it's likley causing the recurring ear infections and he will probably need them removed.
@slim0983 thats impressive a lot of cardio but thats key to getting lean bro
i want to get you super lean
why not start the anavar now? i would

The wife and I tried meal prepping, my 4 year old will eat anything we put in front of him but the 2 teenage girls are picky and will decide they don't like something without even trying it and it's too damn expensive to cook separately for us and the kids so we eat as clean as we can while still making food they will eat. I've switched to avocado oil and olive oil and most of the time I try to grill any meat we are eating so it isn't cooked in any oil and anything that can be cooked in the air fryer instead of actually frying goes in the air fryer and the majority of the other ingredients I try to buy fresh instead of processed prepackaged so it isn't full of preservatives and sodium.
I was raised by my grandparents so I'm a little old school so if I had it my way you don't like what was made for dinner you don't have to eat it but you aren't getting anything else, but their mom grew up poor and went without a lot when she was younger so she won't let them go to bed hungry and they know it and it's just not worth the argument, I pick my battles and this one isn't worth fighting I'm not going to let food cause issues in my marriage. Our diet could be better but honestly it is better than the typical household.
i would suggest meal prepping like 1 meal a day to start so its easy
so like dinner 1 meal or lunch 1 meal always meal prepped to start imo

I didn't really start seeing my progress until I upped the cardio, I was doing 30 min a day but when I started doing an hour a day was when I could really see myself leaning out. I think if I can get down to 10-15%bf I'll be happy, I'm never going to compete so I don't think I really need to get down into the single digits.
I was going to wait until week 7 and finish the last 8 weeks with var

Current cycle, this week is beginning of week 6 I plan on going 9 more weeks so long as everything is going well I may drop the var after week 15 and go 5 more weeks test only to stretch it out to 20 total, I have labs again in 4 weeks to check E2 and see how cholesterol is doing. On my last labs E2 was 66ng/dl and I was experiencing some E.D. and acne was increasing and skin was a little extra oily and I could feel I was a little extra emotional.
Week 1-15 maybe 20- 450mg test cyp a week 150mg M/W/F.
Week 7-15 anavar 25mg mornings and 25mg pre-workout.
Cialis 5mg every day for BP and extra pumps.
Anastrazole .5 mg Tuesday and Saturday started after last labs to get E2 back below 50 I feel good all the way up to mid 50's.

Diet is not on point. It's kinda hard with 2 teenage girls and a 4 year old son to cook and eat everything healthy, I'm not tracking calories or macros but I do try to hit between 150-180g protien a day. Throughout the day I eat the same same every day the only thing that changes is dinner because that's the only meal I eat with the family during the week.
Breakfast between 3:30-4:00am- 2-3 hardboiled eggs, coffee black, and 1-1/2-2 cups cottage cheese and Raw brand cinnamon crunch cerial protien shake after cardio.

Morning snack around 8:30-9:00am- 2-3 servings or unsalted peanuts or smokehouse almonds and another 1-1/2-2 cups cottage cheese.

Lunch 11:00-11:30- chefs salad with cottage cheese and salt and pepper for dressing, another 2-3 hardboiled eggs, another protien shake and if im still hungry a turky and cheese sandwich.

Afternoon snack around 2:30-3pm- 3 servings of peanut butter pretzels and a Gatorade or juice.

Dinner between 5-6pm- a typical dinner is usually chicken thighs or breast's, porkchops or steak, mixed steamed vegetables and some white rice and 16oz glass of whole milk. Occasionally the white rice is replaced with mashed potatoes or a baked potato.

After dinner snack if I'm still hungry before bed usually some oatmeal or cream of wheat with a little butter and about a teaspoon of sugar.

Exercise I don't have a hard schedule.I will got 3-4 days on 1-2 days off I just go by how I feel if i need to rest after 3 days I will if I need more than 1 day of rest I'll go 2 if I feel good after 3 days on I'll go 4 and then rest, I'll be 41 this year so I can't go 6 days a week every week like when I was in my 20's.
I do mild cardio every day even on rest days, I get up before breakfast and do atleast 30min on the treadmill with a 20lb weight vest and I only do between 3-4 mph shin splints kill me if I go faster and 30min pre-workout in the afternoon at around 2-3mph just to get the heart rate up a little and get the blood flowing and get warmed up.

I will try to update atleast on workout days to log excercises

I attached a picture from the start of my cycle and a current picture
@slim0983 Looking good bro....amazing start to the log.........

@slim0983 cardio is really the key to be honest bro
you're doing it right
but i think you can get down to 10% if you dedicate
lets push up this log diet training let us work with you on results bro :)

Didn't get to workout yesterday aside from cardio, I was installing a mini split A/C system so I can get rid of the window A/C's and it took most of the afternoon to get the wall units hung and the condenser mounted and refrigerant lines ran and hooked up.
I'm going to finish the electrical and charge the refrigerant tonight after work hopefully I can get in a workout before bed but getting the A/C finished will take priority.
Breakfast 7/10
2 hard boiled eggs 2 cusp cottage cheese a cup of black coffee
Protien shake after morning cardio
Lunch 7/10
Footlong Italian BMT with double protien from subway with a 28oz Gatorade
Dinner 7/10
2 grilled pork chops marinated in Italian dressing, 2 cups white rice and 2 cups of steamed broccoli/cauliflower/carrots.
16oz whole milk

Breakfast this morning 3 hardboiled eggs, 1-1/2 cups cottage cheese, 2 cups of coffee black (it was a long night with a sick kid so I needed a little more caffeine to get going)
Did 30min on the treadmill with a 20lb weight vest at 3.5 mph
Double scoop protien shake after cardio

Attached a Pic of one of the wall units and the condenser, it was a little bit of a workout to climb the ladder with the condenser on my shoulder and mount it on the wall brackets.
I need to reroute the lines for the top unit under the bracket I wasn't paying attention when I connected it so part of it goes over the bracket and I can't leave it that way.

Yeah the gatorade was zero sugar, that's all they have in the vending machine at our shop.
Afternoon snack
3 servings of UTZ peanut butter pretzels.
Dinner
Steak
Steamed carrots, peas, corn and green beans
Mashed potatoes
16oz whole milk

I do most everything myself, I may be a department Forman now but I've been blue collar my whole life I can't bring myself to pay another man to do something I know I can do myself even if I can afford to pay to have it done. I'm a journeyman pipe welder/fitter but I've worn many hats, I worked as a diesel technician for 5 years and I've always worked on all my vehicles, I grew up around heavy equipment and underground utilities (my uncle owned a construction company) so I'm also a pretty good equipment operator and not quite a journeyman electrician but probably like a 3rd year apprentice so I can do most stuff as long as it's not too technical. And at one time I was a certified boiler technician I let it laps because I moved into management and didn't need to keep it current anymore and I'm still a licensed tattoo artist and ordained minister and I've officiated 5 weddings.

I'm going to costo this weekend and I'm going to see what they have for protien bars so I can buy a case and probably a case of sugar free gatorade packets to add to my water during the day, I drink at least 1-1/2 galons of water a day more if I can make myself get it down it's a little easier now that its getting hot out. If they don't have protien bars worth buying I'll just go to GNC and get a case there. And I'll start making more veggies and just double up on them instead of so much potatoes and rice.
I teach my kids to be self sufficient too, both of my girls are girly girls but at 13 and 15 they can both atleast check oil levals do an engine oil change and change a flat tire without any help, and any time I'm doing anything my son is attached to my hip and wants to be involved.
