I am 152 pounds in around 5 ft 5 in. I'm small and skinny and I am 27 years old
I'm looking to take something to help me gain more mass.
I have been training every other day for the past year and not gaining as much as I would like
Would a simple testosterone 500mgs a week cycle work for me? or should I take something less?

no.. you need to clearly address and focus on your diet... tell us what you eat daily... just provide a sample of what a typical day may look like for you.. you can take anything and everything but if your diet is off then you will never get close to what you can/should get to

500mgs test per week is a good cycle do it

I would wait until you add more muscle to your frame. If you aren't gaining without steroids, you won't gain with. You are simply not eating enough for growth.
