Do i really need a cheat meal to reboot?

So i have been following a 150g carb on training day and a third of that on days off strategy for a couple years now. then once a week i do 300g as a cheat day. this was a plan that someone pushed me to do because they said you need to boost your metabolism or something like that. is this all bro science? cause this strategy isn't working
 
you are simply carb cycling which isn't anything new at all. many athletes do just that. in fact cycling your foods daily is important when it comes to followwing a natural diet lifestyle which i endorse. the premise is primitive humans did not have fridges and restaurants
 
there's nothing new or special about it... if its not working, then that should tell you something right??? like, change it! do something else bro... there's plenty of different ways you can go about diet...
 
Everyone responds differently to different diets. I would get fat eating that many carbs in a day but others may do great. You just have to play around and see what you respond better to.
