carb diet question

I keep hearing contradicting information about how to diet and following low carbs. why do people do high protein and low carbs when cutting down when both are converted to glucose when they go into the body? aren't they both going to end up causing fat storage the same way anyway?

If you want to cut down, use low carbs, it's the easiest and best way to slim out.
 
Protein will make you more full. 30 grams of protein is way more filling than 30 grams of carbs

No they aren't. The process of the body turning protein into glucose (more accurately glycogen) would only happen if you was starving
 
you are on the right track but now factor in insulin and glucagon in the picture

also not all carbs are the same. you aren't spiking your insulin off a sweet potato, but you damn well will eating white bread from walmart. even if they are the exact same carbs, they are completely different. ask any diabetic who tracks their blood sugar, they will clearly say cake requries them to use insulin way more than a potato will. that is why counting macros/ IIFYM is retarded. also good fats will not spike insulin virtually at all. remember that. 130 calories of unrefined PURE organic coconut oil contains 130g of fat. so it is PURE FAT. it will not have any effect on insulin or blood sugar, but refined oils will
 
That is exactly the reason why some people fail on keto diets. They eat high protein instead of high fat. In the end the protein is converted to glucose anyways. If you are going to do low carb you cannot do high protein (for fat loss).
