South beach diet thoughts?

I am researching the south beach diet and it says it is good for losing fat. the diet basically separates foods into categories of health and unhealthy carbs and also unhealthy and healthy fats. it involves a lot of doing your own cooking to make sure those foods adhere to guidelines. what do you guys think about south beach diet?

Any diet will work if you stick to it. My key principles are to eat lots of raw fruits and veggies, eliminate processed foods, get protein through eggs, chicken, grass fed beef, and eat lots of good fats.

I like doing elimination diets finding what foods work best for the body you have.
