training 3-5x a week. What is optimal?

Newbie
I’m looking to do a simple pushing pulling and leg split. Wondering how optimal it would be to train different amounts of times per week.
Should I set a time doing 3 or 4 times a week or should I push it to five times a week or should I go 1x a week then I go 3 times a week, then the next week I switch it up again.
